Christmas Time Already?

I cant' believe the Holidays are upon us already. Where did the year go. Last week we got down our decorations for Family Home Evening. The kids went from box to box and ooooh and awed over all the neat treasures that had been packed away for 12 months. Noah especially wanted to put out everthing decoration even if it didn't have anything to do with Christmas. But that was just to much clutter for me. So we settled for the tree, stockings, the nativity set, and a few things that hung on the wall. One of those being the special advent calendar that Nana Wiley made for the kids. There are 25 squares numbered on one side with pictures of the nativity on the other. Undoubtedly they will argue over who's turn it is to turn the next one over. And since today was the 5th only 20 more days to go!!!

Welcome Everyone! I'm excited to be able to keep in touch with my family and friends this way. I was nervous about doing a blog. I have a paranoia about weirdos getting info about my family. And I didn't want to start something that I wouldn't be able to keep up with. So here's to giving it a try. I hope you enjoy.

Scrapbook Challange

3 friends and I are doing a scrapbooking challange. We each gave our selves a goal of pages to complete before we can go to Hobby Lobby and purchase scrapping supplies. I chose for my goal, 25 pages by Dec. 21 which is the next time we get together to scrapbook. Hobby Lobby has 50% percent off scrapping supplies almost once a month. But this challange will help us to use up the things that we have before purchasing more. We also were challanged to do a page about oursleves and/or about our scrapping area. I liked this part since I'm always the one behind the camera I never seem to be in any photos. So this is an opportunity to document me and one of my passions.

Pictures With Santa

Saturday Dec. 1st the girls and I were shopping at Wal-Mart and saw that they were having pictures with Santa. Since I just had the girls we checked out and came home and got the boys and went back. Noah went first to show the girls there was nothing to be afraid of. He is not shy and hopped right on Santa's lap to give him his Christmas wish list. Amelia was nervouse so we put Ethan on Santa's lap with her and she still had to have Dad stay right by her. Eve was very adament that she was NOT going over there. She only likes Santa from a distance. Chris talked her into just standing by the tree next to Santa. She was VERY proud of her self for being so brave.
