Hello All!! I finally have been able to put on some videos. YEAH!! I've been wanting to for a while but I have to do it from Chris' laptop computer. He takes it with him to work at night and the only time I have to mess around with it is at night. He got home earlier from school than I had expected so I decided now was as good a time as any. We had a lot of rain today and this afternoon when it cleared the girls had a ball playing in the puddles. They were a muddy mess from head to toe and went straight to the bathtub and into jammies after that. This clip is fairly early on in there playing. I had my batteries out of my camera charging or I would have gotten more pictures when they came in. At one point the were bent over sticking their hair in the water too. I also add a video from a few weekends ago when we had the snow. Chris took a short video of the girls in the back yard. They didn't stay out side long. It's hard to believe that both of these are in the same month. I hope you enjoy my 2 rascals. Oh!! and go down and turn off the music so you can hear the clips better.

Is Spring Here Yet!!
Well, Last weekend we got a dusting of snow. I was hoping for more, but this is south Tennessee, what do you expect. The girls got bundled up and went out to play in it. I think the anticipation of playing out in the snow was better than actually being out there for Amelia. She doesn't like the cold. Eve kept saying she wanted someone to go out with her. We've gradually had a warm up and today will be in the 50's. I think the weather man said we would reach 70 on Thursday. We picked up some flower seeds and some bulbs and I'm anxious to get digging around in the dirt. Now that the time has changed I might have some time in the evening to get started on the front flower beds. I will have to wait a while longer to get to the garden area since it is to wet to run the tiller. I'm ready for SPRING, And all the new things that come to life.

Book Tag
I was tagged by my cousin Carrie. I think this is interesting to see what we all read. So here is how it works.
1. Pick up the nearest book (that has at least 123 pages)
2. Turn to page 123
3. Find the 5th sentence
4. Post the next 3 sentences
5. Tag 5 other people
Since I was sitting at my computer with a whole book case right next to me, I opted to get up and go get a book that I actually am reading. It is "The Power of Positive Parenting"
Page 123 line 6 says..."Once Parents are able to effectively employ these principles and strategies, the environment becomes much more pleasant, and behavior falls into line. Remember, behaviour is largely a product of its immediate environment. As the environment improves behavior will soon improve."
I tag my friend Trudy and Dani. Like you Jodie, everyone else I know who has a blog has been tagged already, so Trudy and Dani, your it.

Laundry Room Project
Here are some pictures of the laundry room before we started our project. Mostly you can just see the huge amout of clutter and junk that filled the little room. I think on some of the pictues you can see the old floor. Very out dated and ugly. We started this project last Wednesday when the Young Men from church came over and helped tear out the floor. They had a great time and were a big help. BUT, one of the YM broke one of the hot water lines, so Chris was going to have to replace it. No big deal. Thursday evening Chris goes to Lowe's with a friend who has a truck and gets all the supplies. I go to a friends and take a hot shower. Friday, I went and picked out some vinyl then I took the 3 little one and went to Mom's to spend the night, while Noah and Chris work some more on getting the floor ready to be layed. Saturday morning, a good friend came to the house to help Chris at about 8:30 a.m. and stayed till about 2p.m. Noah also was a big help. They got all of the sub flooring done and Chris was going to cut the vinyl but rolled it out and it was not the size they said . I payed for a 9x12 and it actually was a 9x10 1/2 piece. So that was going to have to wait until monday and we were dissappointed that the hot water heater still was not goin to be hooked up. So the girls and I bathe at the ARgo's and come home Saturday night and head home so we could go to church Sunday. After church on Sunday we went back to the Argo's. The house was just too much to look at. Monday (thank goodness Chris was on spring break from school this week)we took the vinyl back and got another piece. Came home and got that cut and layed down and the hot water heater back in and hooked up. The pipe underneath the house that Chris had to replace didn't hold and water was leaking everywhere. We got the water to the whole house turned off and he got that fixed, but in the mean time on one of his trips under the house he clipped another pipe and broke it. So then we had to fix that. After that was ALL done and Chris was filthy and gross we turn the hot water heater on and wait and wait and STILL NO HOT WATER. Hmmmm, what is the problem here!!!!! Well, apprantly you have to fill the heater up first before you turn the power on to it or you will burn up the elements. Well, so guess what. We had burned up the elements. By now it is 8:30 at night. Chris goes down to the hospital to take a shower in the men's locker room. I was feeling pretty gross my self since I had last showered Sat. night. I took my ponytail down out of my hair and my hair stayed. So I knew I had to at least wash my hair in the cold water. I leaned over into the shower, brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. It was freezing. I decided I would have to be super quick our I'd end up with hyperthermia. I shampooed then rinsed as fast as I could. Through a towel around my head and boiled some water so I could wash my face and stuff. Then I went to comb my hair out and realized I didn't condition my hair. ooops!! It was going to be really hard to brush so I got it wet again in the cold water, conditioned it, then rinsed it out with the hot water I had boiled. Whew!!. Tuesday morning after we got the heater drained and the elements out and Noah to school we packed up and headed to Huntsville, to the closest Lowes. We got what we needed. Came home filled the heater back up, THEN turned the power on and in about an hour or so we had hot water. Hallaluja!!!! We then layed down the base boards and shoe molding. Next came puting the washer, dryer and freezer back in without tearing the floor. We managed to get that done. And now we like it sooooo much with all the other junk in there, like the food storage stuff, we have to figure out what to do with it all now. Most of it is still sitting on the dinning room table. But Chris took a hot shower before he left for work and I have done 2 loads of laundry and run the dish washer and will go take a shower my self in a while. So all is right in the Beckstead's world now. I know this is long and I'm putting a slide show of the pictures together. Hope you enjoyed our week long adventure.

SNOW DAY
Chris woke me at 4:30 a.m. calling to tell me that Lincoln County Schools are closed today. I got up to get Ethan a bottle and saw a dusting of snow on the ground. I think there may have been more ice that they were afraid of. Anyway, I let the kids sleep in. Noah came running into my room at 7:40 say" MOM, WHY DIDN'T YOU GET ME UP. IT'S FIELD TRIP DAY". I had to tell him that school was cancled and he wouldn't be going to see the Play "charlottes Web". He was just as happy to take the snow day and stay home. Chris called about 8:30 saying they also had closed Motlow Comm. College and that he was on his way home. So after he got home we started on our Laundry room project. It has a rotten floor and we are replacing it. We took out everthing and put in in the dining room. The YM are coming over tonight to help with demolition. In between all this I've tried to find time to read. I'm reading a really good book. I also went and got some linolium to lay down after the floor is fixed. I have a piano lesson in a little while and then will have to move my whole scrapping corner. It backs up to the laundry room and they want to make sure the flooring under that area is not rotten too. So we have a lot going on here. I will show some before and after pictures when we get done. I'm sure it will turn out nice.

Over the Flu
Well, I think we are FINALLY over the flu!!! All of us excpet Chris got it. Eve still had a fever this morning but hopefully that is the last of it. I got some Musinex to knock out the terrible ing cough I have. I took it about 4 O'clock and so far so good. It sure was a bug. We all had it at the pretty much the same time too. That doesn't usually happen. Usually it goes in WAVES. Chris even stayed home from work Tuesday night to take care of us, that's how bad I was. I needed to be able to rest so I could take care of everybody the rest of the week. It worked. I think we will still stay home from church Sunday just for good measure.

Home Made Cream Puffs!!!
Well it is Sunday and all the kids are sick, so hmmmmm, lets make some Cream Puffs. Cream puffs are one of Chris' FAVORITE treats. We had picked some up from the store last week and they didn't last long. I told him I wished I could make them. He pulled out one of our old cook books and low and behold, page 242 is the recipe to make cream puffs. So today I ventured into the kitchen on this new quest. IT was sooooo easy. I was surprised at how much they grew while cooking. I will have to make sure I make smaller mounds on the pan next time. I had gotten some whipped topping that comes in the can to put on the inside. That can only did about 3 of these HUGE things so I had some whipping cream left over from the homemade ice cream I made for Noah's Valentine party so I made some home made whip cream to put on the inside of the others. They are really good. I will have to tweak them just a little. But I think I'm definately on to something good here.
