I knew it was going to be cold with some ice this morning, but we spent 15 minutes trying to get the van doors open. Mostly the sliding door. Whew! Finally did and got Noah to school right in the nick of time. It was just barely spitting tiny flakes of snow when we left. By the time we got home it was snowing enough for Eve to notice, so of coarse they want to go out and play in it. They both bundled up and out they went. They want to touch it and of coarse it is cold so when you have no mittens you use socks. Something we did when I was a kid. They also really liked the boots they had on. I picked them both up yesterday clearanced out at Wal-mart. They were to cute to pass up. They are back in now watching "Word World" so I guess they've had their fill of Snow.

February Family Fun
Yesterday (2-5-08)was so unseasonably warm, there could only be bad weather on the way. But before the thunderstorms arrived we took advantage of the warm temps. After Noah got back from school we all went outside to play. Ethan had his first swing ride and thought it was great. Noah, Eve, and Dad all played some soccer. Of coarse Eve was not quite as competetive and couldn't keep up. Hence the picture of her crying. They finally let her dribble down and score. Amelia was content to let them run around while we sat and jumped on the trampoline. It was fun family time.
Late that night I kept a close watch on the weather. Thankfully all we had were some gusty winds and rain.

Super Hero's
Eve and Amelia are a Super Duo Team. They like nothing better than to tie on some "capes" and run up and down the hall with them flying in the breeze.

Just to tired..
Chris had worked all night Friday and got home about 8:30 Saturday morning. He doesn't like to take naps on Sat. if he can help it because then he won't sleep that night. Well, he had been down on the floor playing with the girls and after they went on to something else, he just lay down on the floor. He fell asleep almost instantly. You could here the snores in the other room. A plate even fell and broke on the floor and he didn't budge. I guess this is what you look like when you are just to tired......

Up Date
Just wanted to update you on Noah's Diorama. He ended up getting 1st place. They gave him a little blue ribbon out of construction paper. But he was tickled. They said his was the most creative and looked most like he did it himself. We are proud of him.

A Beloved Prophet

This morning as I learned the news of our sweet prophet Gorden B. Hinckley's passing, I am sad. I have been reading his biogrophy (only half way done)and feel like I know him. I read a talk from him a few days ago about finding the good and positive in all things. So I am uplifted and looking for the good. What a wonderful life and example he has led. We will miss his wit and voice at conference but I know he was soooo happy to be reunited with his sweet Marjorie. How wonderful for forever families. What a blessing to live in modern times, with modern revelation and direction. God has not abandoned us to our own demise, we have living apostles that will carry on the work. For Family Home Evening tonight I have chosen teach of Pres. Hinckley. We will talk of his Six B's. I made a poster for each of the kids to hang in their rooms as reminders to B their best. I hope we will all strive to as Pres. Hinckley would say "Be a little better every day".

DINOSAUR DIORAMA
TA DA!!! This is Noah's Diorama Project. We have been working together on it for over a week. A little here and a little there. That way it wasn't so much to do all at once. He and I had a good time painting and coming up with ideas. Eve and Amelia wanted so badly to paint too, we had to keep them out of our way. Noah did most of everything except the cutting I did most of that. He picked out some rocks and we hot glued those on. You can't really see them in the photos. I think they are being judged so I hope he does well. It was fun to do this project together. Picture at the bottom (since I can't get a picture attached to this post.)
